My Internship Experience at Abhyaz: A Journey of Learning and Growth
Hello Everyone ! This is Mehbull haq Pullaray and I joined Abhyaz as a UI/UX Designer Intern for 3 Months. When I began my internship at Abhyaz as a UI/UX Design Intern, I was eager to gain practical knowledge and put my learning into action. Looking back, this experience has been a journey filled with challenges, creativity, and immense learning.
From day one, I was introduced to real-world design projects that required not just creativity but also structured processes and documentation. I worked on multiple outcomes that helped me understand how professional design tasks are executed.
One of my key projects was the Contact Page Redesign, where I created a clean and user-friendly layout that simplified communication between interns, clients, and technical users. I followed the entire process — from research and wireframing to prototyping in Figma and final documentation.
Another exciting task was the FAQ Page Redesign, where I focused on improving usability and accessibility. Designing FAQs taught me the importance of clarity, structuring content, and reducing repetitive queries through effective layouts.
I also contributed to creating sitemaps, including the Abhyaz Revamped Sitemap. These projects sharpened my ability to analyze website structures, organize information, and design navigation flows that improve user experience.
Lastly, I worked on the Abhyaz Navbar Redesign, where I designed dropdown menus for Zoho Products and Abhyaz Services. This task helped me explore how navigation plays a critical role in guiding users smoothly through a website.
Beyond design, I also learned the importance of process documentation, design documentation, skill capture, and knowledge capture. These tasks gave me a holistic view of how professional projects are delivered and reviewed in a real workplace setting.
What I truly value about this internship is not just the technical skills I gained in Figma, prototyping, and design systems, but also the soft skills I developed — including communication, problem-solving, and time management. Feedback from mentors played a huge role in improving my work and boosting my confidence.
In the end, my internship at Abhyaz gave me a strong foundation in UI/UX design, a portfolio of meaningful projects, and the confidence to take the next step in my career. I am grateful to my mentors and the HR team for their support, guidance, and encouragement throughout this journey.
This experience has been more than just an internship — it has been a stepping stone toward becoming a better UI/UX designer and preparing myself for future professional opportunities.
