Introduction
Internships serve as vital bridges between academics and the corporate world. My 3-month internship at Abhyaz has been a transformative journey of learning, leadership, and practical experience. It provided me with hands-on exposure to industry tools such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Recruit, Zoho show, and more — empowering me to take on meaningful responsibilities, lead teams, and deliver real impact. Here's a reflection on my journey and the key experiences that shaped it.
Working with Zoho CRM: Structuring Data for Business Efficiency
One of my core responsibilities was optimizing the Zoho CRM by preparing and importing institutional data. I also worked on a Module Cleanup task where I updated essential CRM fields such as company names, customer segments, and tags — converting leads into contacts. This process improved CRM data accuracy and system usability, enhancing the overall decision-making experience for the team.
Recruitment Data Cleanup and Leadership Experience in Zoho Recruit
Working in Zoho Recruit, I participated in multiple tasks related to data cleaning and system optimization. I also led the Recruit Cleanup Initiative, where I coordinated a team of 30 interns — assigning tasks, monitoring updates, and ensuring smooth communication. This experience enhanced my team management, remote collaboration, and project coordination skills.
Other Key Projects and Tasks
In addition to the above, my responsibilities included:
Contact Module Updates: Ensuring CRM contact and opportunity modules were up-to-date.
Contact Deduplication: Cleaning duplicate records for better data integrity.
Feedback Collection via Zoho Survey: Designing structured feedback forms for testimonial capture and quality improvement.
New Intern Onboarding: Guiding fresh interns on tools, processes, and expectations.
Gratitude & Acknowledgement
I’m sincerely thankful to the mentors Keerthy Thankan and the Abhyaz team for their constant support and feedback throughout this journey. Their guidance allowed me to take initiative, grow beyond my comfort zone, and contribute meaningfully.
Conclusion
My 3-month internship at Abhyaz has been more than just a learning experience — it was a stepping stone toward becoming a confident professional. From working on CRMs to leading a large team of interns, every task shaped me for the future. I look forward to applying these skills in my career ahead and staying connected with the incredible community at Abhyaz.
