Introduction
As I reflect on my journey as a Data Analyst Intern at Abhyaz since February 3, 2025, I find myself filled with gratitude and pride. This internship has been more than just a stepping stone in my career—it’s been a transformative experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me invaluable lessons, and helped me rediscover my strengths.
From Mechanical Engineering to Data Analysis: Embracing the Shift
With a background in mechanical engineering and 1.5 years of experience at TAFE, I stepped into the world of data with curiosity and a hunger to learn. While searching for job opportunities, I came across Abhyaz—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. The diverse, real-time projects here challenged me in new ways and gave me the space to explore, grow, and lead.
Mastering Zoho CRM: Data Structuring and Process Optimization
One of my key responsibilities involved working with Zoho CRM, specifically:
Data collection of institutes and contact-account mapping
Product case updates
Cleaning and enrichment of the account module
From Frustration to Fulfillment: The Attendance Dashboard Challenge
The most challenging moment of my internship came when I was tasked with building an attendance dashboard in Zoho Analytics. Crafting charts that conveyed the right insights, and automating raw data preprocessing, felt overwhelming at first. But each setback taught me something new—about logic, data visualization, and most importantly, perseverance. Eventually, seeing the final dashboard come to life was one of my proudest achievements.
Building Automation: Leave Tracking & More
I also got the opportunity to work on automation workflows in Zoho Analytics and Zoho Forms, such as:
Leave tracking dashboard
Leave request form with automated notifications
Attendance dashboard
Learning Beyond Tasks: Culture, Optimism, and Global Connections
Abhyaz wasn’t just about tasks and deadlines—it was also a space for cultural exchange and personal growth. I had the chance to interact with interns from across the globe, including Africa. These conversations taught me the importance of professionalism, patience, and positivity, no matter the situation.
A major influence during this time was my mentor, Keerthy Ma’am. By observing her, I learned so much about professionalism and the importance of conducting oneself with grace and clarity in a work environment.Final Thoughts: Inspired and Ready for What’s Next
Over these six months, I completed five major tasks that taught me data cleaning, dashboard creation, CRM optimization, and team leadership. More importantly, I learned to believe in my ability to adapt and grow.
This internship has set the stage for my career aspiration of becoming a Product Analyst. With every challenge faced and every lesson learned, I now carry forward not just skills—but the confidence and clarity to move ahead.
To my mentors, teammates, and the entire Abhyaz community—thank you. You’ve made this journey unforgettable.
