Introduction
Hello everyone. I am Abhishek Binod. I recently had the wonderful opportunity to work as a Finance Executive Intern under the Abhyaz program at MTAB Technology Center. Looking back, I can confidently say this internship was a truly enriching experience that allowed me to engage in meaningful work, learn new tools, and grow both professionally and personally.
Skills I Gained
This internship gave me the chance to sharpen my technical and professional skills. I became more comfortable working with Zoho Workspace, especially financial tools like Zoho Books and Zoho Expense. More importantly, I learned to adapt quickly, communicate effectively and manage my time efficiently while working remotely.
My Key Responsibilities
One of my primary tasks during the internship was configuring applications like Zoho Expense for clients. This involved setting up the platform according to their specific requirements, ensuring smooth functionality, and making the tool more efficient for day-to-day financial operations. Alongside the configuration work, I also created support documents such as process documents and design documents, which served as guides to help users understand workflows and system setups. These tasks not only improved my technical knowledge of business applications but also enhanced my ability to communicate in a clear and structured way.
The Abhyaz Culture
What made this internship even more special was the culture of support and mentorship at Abhyaz. My mentors, Ms. Jessica Opara and Ms. Neha Khan, and team members were always available to guide me, provide feedback, and encourage me to explore my potential. Despite being a remote internship, I never felt disconnected. The collaborative environment made me feel like a valued part of the team.
A Meaningful Experience
One of the aspects I truly appreciated was that my work was not just for practice, it had real value and impact. Knowing that my contributions were part of an actual project gave me a sense of responsibility and pride. This experience has motivated me to pursue a career in finance with even greater confidence.
