My Internship Experience as an Inventory Management Executive Intern at Abhyaz (MTAB)
Pursued an internship which was life-changing experience for any professional student or aspiring professional. My recent experience as an Inventory Management Executive Intern at Abhyaz, from MTAB – a Zoho Authorized Partner, was no different. It was a rich experience that not only exposed me to the real-world operations of cloud-based ERP systems such as Zoho Books but also fostered key soft and technical skills essential to the industry.
Internship overview
While working at Abhyaz, I was assigned under the Product Development and Delivery Team, where I was given the responsibility of implementing Zoho Books for one of our major clients, Pexa Fashions. The internship was learning-oriented as well as hands-on, exposing me to actual business scenarios and problem-solving exercises that required active response and responsibility.
Key Learning Platforms: Zoho Ecosystem
One of the prime highlights of the internship was learning hands-on about Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, and Zoho Invoice. I was an active participant during the implementation phase, which helped me overcome the theoretical understanding-practical application.
I was particularly engaged in:
Adding and dealing with customer and vendor information
Importing master and transactional data through spreadsheets
Creating inventory and purchase reports to support decision-making
My Project Deliverables
During the duration of the internship, I was able to accomplish and deliver the following results based on my role:
Customer and Vendor Information Management – Imported, categorized, and verified customer and vendor information to ensure accurate master records.
Data Import Automation – Learned how to map fields and import bulk data effectively through Zoho's pre-designed templates.
Inventory Reporting – Created live inventory reports to monitor stock levels, purchases, and vendor performance, enabling improved decision-making for the client.
Skills Gained
Apart from the technical skills, my experience at Abhyaz, also gave me the chance to develop some of the essential soft skills for professional development:
Communication: Frequent interaction with mentors and cross-functional teams made it easier for me to present ideas effectively and concisely.
Analytical Thinking: Exposure to business data helped me to detect patterns and inform strategic choices with data-driven insights.
Presentation: Preparing reports and walkthroughs assisted me in honing the way to present intricate information in a straightforward and organized format.
Gratitude and Acknowledgement
As I look back at this internship journey, I express my sincere appreciation to my Project Manager and mentors at Abhyaz for their relentless advice, tolerance, and priceless feedback on this journey. I would also like to thank my peers for fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that made learning both enjoyable and effective. Finally, I’m deeply thankful to the HR and leadership team at Abhyaz and MTAB for providing me with this internship opportunity and enabling me to take this important step in my professional journey.
