My journey as a UI/UX Design Intern with the Web Development team at Abhyaz has been a truly enriching and rewarding experience. Coming from a background in Computer Science Engineering, I was eager to explore the creative side of tech and this internship gave me the perfect platform to do just that.
During my time at Abhyaz, I primarily worked using Figma, a tool I became increasingly confident and comfortable with over the course of the internship. One of my key contributions was the redesign of Abhyaz’s “About Us” page, where I focused on improving layout consistency, visual hierarchy, and overall readability. I also designed an entirely new “Announcement page” for the platform aiming to make important updates more engaging and accessible for users. Additionally, I worked on redesigning the Home page, where I applied user-centric design principles to create a more welcoming and intuitive first impression for visitors.
This internship allowed me to strengthen not only my design skills but also my collaboration and communication abilities. Working with a remote team taught me how to share feedback effectively, stay aligned with project goals, and contribute meaningfully in a virtual workspace.
Overall, my experience at Abhyaz has been filled with learning, creativity, and growth. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of Abhyaz that encourages experimentation and supports young professionals in building real-world skills.
