My Internship Experience at Abyaz – A Journey into Finance and Learning
Internships are more than just a line on a resume—they are stepping stones that shape our careers. My internship as a Finance Executive at Abyaz for three months was an enriching experience that helped me grow in practical knowledge, technical skills, and professional confidence.
I had the privilege of working under Ms. Sundarvalli KM, the Finance Head, and Project Manager Jessica Opera, whose mentorship was instrumental in guiding me through various real-world finance operations.
Project 1: Integrating Zoho Books for MTAB USA
My first major assignment was the Zoho Books integration project for MTAB USA. This project gave me hands-on experience with:
- Chart of Accounts – Designing and organizing financial accounts specific to business requirements.
- Customer and Vendor Creation – Building a systematic database for transactions.
- Invoice Creation – Generating customized invoices aligned with the client’s workflow.
- Bank Integration – Linking MTAB’s bank accounts with Zoho Books for real-time tracking.
- Bank Reconciliation – Matching bank statements with Zoho transactions to ensure accuracy.
This project helped me develop a structured approach to financial systems while deepening my understanding of bookkeeping practices.
