Internships are often described as steppingstones—but for me, my internship at Abhyaz became a launchpad. I’m Manasvi Patil, and I had the opportunity to work as a Finance Executive Intern in the Product Development and Delivery (PDD) department for two months. What started as a virtual internship soon turned into a deeply enriching learning experience.
My journey began with tasks that pushed me to apply financial concepts in real-world platforms. The first task involved configuring tax settings in Zoho Inventory, where I learned how businesses align with tax structures and ensure compliance with GST regulations. This gave me a strategic understanding of how taxation integrates into financial operations. The second task introduced me to Zakya, where I handled inventory return processes. This gave me exposure to how stock movements are managed, how automation simplifies returns, and how finance is closely tied to supply chain operations. Next, I worked on preparing Receivables Reports in Zoho Books. This helped me move beyond just numbers. I learned to analyze payment patterns, track overdue invoices, and understand how receivables impact cash flow and decision-making.
One moment that truly stood out for me was being awarded the Best Performer of the Month. It wasn’t just a certificate—it was a moment of recognition that made every challenge, every learning curve, and every task feel meaningful.
What made this experience even more valuable was the support I received not just from my mentor, Jessica Opara, but also from my teammates, who were always willing to share knowledge, collaborate on tasks, and encourage each other through every challenge. Working alongside such a driven and helpful team taught me the power of collaboration in a professional setting. Looking back, this internship helped me grow not just as a finance student, but as a professional ready to adapt, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully. It showed me that even in a virtual setting, learning can be real, impact can be felt, and growth can be transformative.
To future interns: say yes to challenges, stay consistent, and treat every small task as a learning opportunity. Because at Abhyaz, you’re not just gaining experience—you’re evolving.
