My Transformative Path Through the Abhyaz Internship

Hello, my name is Gourishankar S. As a job seeker, I am deeply grateful for the incredible opportunity I had to intern as a Data Analyst at Abhyaz. Recognizing the importance of gaining practical experience to complement my academic knowledge, technical knowledge and field experience, this internship has proven to be an invaluable stepping stone in my professional journey. Throughout my three-month tenure, I was fortunate to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who guided and supported me, making this experience truly transformative.

Abhyaz provided me with a remarkable platform to gain real-world insights into the role of a data analyst. Despite the remote nature of the internship, the virtual environment created by Abhyaz exceeded my expectations, making me feel fully immersed in the work. The daily logins, the seamless connection with mentors, and the collaborative environment with fellow interns made every day a rewarding experience. I am immensely grateful for the mentorship I received, which not only pushed me to undertake challenging tasks but also provided invaluable guidance and encouragement whenever I needed it.

As Data analyst intern, we require some set of tools to work on the data, like data preprocessing, data analysis, data visualisation etc. The internship program, provided me with set of tools which made my outcomes efficient and reliable. Tools that I have used include

a.  Zoho analytics:

Used to create data tables, query tables, charts and dashboards.

b.  Workdrive:

Used to download/upload data, to create folders to store data.

Throughout my internship, I had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects that allowed me to handle and analyze data effectively. One project that stands out is the development and modification of the Performance Report Quarter 2 dashboard. This hands-on experience in data analysis and visualization techniques enhanced my technical skills and provided me with a deeper understanding of the field. Additionally, working on the Course Utilization dashboard and PIEMA Survey Report dashboard gave me the opportunity to extract meaningful insights from data, contributing to the decision-making processes. Also, while working on updating and reporting on Abhyaz Asset Utilization dashboard as well as CNCTrain dashboard helped in developing and understanding the importance of storytelling in Data Analytics. These practical projects enabled me to bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering me with the skills needed to excel in the field of data analysis.

The Abhyaz internship not only emphasized technical skills but also placed a strong emphasis on soft skills development. The peer grading system allowed me to receive valuable feedback on my work, enabling me to enhance my vocabulary, sharpen my presentation skills, and refine my communication abilities. Moreover, this internship served as a platform for me to showcase my knowledge and skills, making me feel valued and confident in my capabilities.

In conclusion, I am humbled and immensely grateful for the opportunity to intern at Abhyaz. This internship has had a profound impact on my personal and professional growth as a Data Analyst. The exposure to real-world projects, the unwavering support of mentors, and the collaborative work environment have significantly contributed to my development.
