My Internship Experience at Abhyaz – A Practical Learning Journey
Hi, I’m S Pavan Kumar, and I recently completed an enriching internship as a Software Executive Intern at Abhyaz. Though the internship was completely remote, it never felt distant. The collaborative tools, friendly mentors, and structured work culture made it a highly professional and immersive experience. I genuinely felt like part of the team from day one.
During my time at Abhyaz, I primarily worked with Zoho applications — especially Zoho People and Zoho Payroll one of my key responsibilities was to implement synchronization processes between Zoho People and Zoho Payroll. This involved automating updates for new hires, syncing designation or department changes, and ensuring access level consistency across platforms.
I worked on the Zoho People project, where I customized the Candidate Module. This included designing layout fields, configuring permissions, and setting up workflows to streamline how student candidates were managed from application to onboarding. I even created process documents and flowcharts to demonstrate automation and role management systems.
One of the most valuable experiences was designing data synchronization processes — like scheduled updates for employee personal details, roles, and payroll access. I gained hands-on exposure to how HR tech systems communicate and support business functions efficiently.
Apart from the technical tasks, I got the opportunity to explore the end-to-end employee lifecycle — from new hire data transfer to configuring email domains, managing PF entries in Zoho Payroll, and even sending out confirmation letters. These tasks helped me understand how real-world HR operations are managed with cloud-based systems.
This internship didn’t just improve my skills in tools and automation — it also made me more confident, organized, and solution-oriented. Working with Abhyaz gave me practical insight into both HR and tech processes, and I’m truly grateful to my mentors and the entire team for supporting me throughout the journey. Looking forward to applying these learnings in future roles and continuing to grow in this space!
