💼 My Finance Internship Experience at Abhyaz
My journey as a Finance Intern at Abhyaz has been one of the most insightful experiences of my academic and professional development so far. This internship gave me practical exposure to real-world financial operations and taught me how to apply my theoretical knowledge in a structured work environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
1. Configuring Tax Rates
One of my major tasks involved setting up tax rates in accounting software. I learned to manage GST configurations, TDS rates, and ensure they were correctly applied to vendor bills and invoices—an important process in ensuring financial compliance.
2. MSME Registration
I got hands-on experience supporting the MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) registration process, which helped me understand how businesses avail government benefits and comply with statutory regulations.
🔸 Tools & Processes I Worked On:
- Creating and managing invoices in Zoho Books
- Filing GSTR-2B on the GST portal
- Making TDS payments using the TDS portal
- Preparing and sharing bill reports with vendors
- Categorizing and organizing bills systematically
🙌 Mentorship & Guidance:
Working under the mentorship of Ms. Sundarvalli, Finance Head, was an enriching experience. Her expertise, patience, and attention to detail helped me build confidence in financial operations. I’m also grateful to Ms. Jessica Opera, Project Manager, for her constant guidance, prompt feedback, and structured task management.

This internship was more than just a learning opportunity—it was a steppingstone toward my career in finance. The supportive environment at Abhyaz allowed me to explore, make mistakes, and grow. I now feel more equipped to handle finance responsibilities in a professional setting.
