I am Nikitha U. I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce. I am currently preparing for various Management entrance exams, and alongside this, I thought I would do a finance-related internship and gain exposure on the practical functioning of finance-related operations. While I was searching for internships on LinkedIn, I came across Abhyaz. After doing some research on it, I decided that Abhyaz was a perfect place for me to intern at.
As I complete my three-month journey as a Finance Executive Intern at Abhyaz, I look back with immense gratitude and a sense of accomplishment. This internship has been a truly transformative experience, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally.
From day one, under the guidance of my mentor, Jessica Opera, I was introduced to a range of finance and business applications such as Zoho Inventory, Zakya, Zoho Books, and Zoho Payroll. Working extensively on these tools gave me valuable hands-on experience and strengthened my understanding of real-world financial operations. I was able to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, which is something classroom learning alone cannot offer.
Beyond technical skills, I was also given opportunities to demonstrate my leadership skills. One of the most memorable moments of my internship was hosting the Sprint Meeting, under the mentorship of Jessica and our project manager, Neha. During the Spring meeting, I coordinated with the team members by taking up updates on their tasks and communicated the same to the HR Management. This experience helped me enhance my communication, coordination, and leadership skills, and gave me the confidence to take initiative in collaborative settings.
I deeply appreciate the supportive and encouraging environment at Abhyaz, which motivated me to explore, ask questions, and continuously improve. The constructive feedback and guidance I received were instrumental in helping me perform better and refine my skills.
As I move forward in my career, I will carry with me the invaluable lessons, technical expertise, and professional discipline gained here. My heartfelt thanks to my mentors, team members, and the entire Abhyaz community for making this journey so rewarding.
