I'm Vikash Soni, and I want to share my three-month DevOps Engineering internship at Abhyaz, from October 16, 2023, to January 16, 2024, hosted by MTAB Technology Center Pvt. Ltd. It was a cool experience that let me explore the interesting world of cloud technology. This blog talks about the things I learned, the hands-on stuff I did, and how I grew personally during my internship.

Internship   Experience

In my three-month internship at Abhyaz as a DevOps Engineering intern, I Learned to use tools like GitHub Action, Docker, GitHub, Elastic Beanstalk, Cabinets, Jenkins CICD, Lumi, and Zoho CRM. The virtual office had a Friendly culture where we worked together, improving problem-solving, time Management, and teamwork skills.

Projects

One notable project I worked on at Abhyaz was setting up a CI/CD pipeline for a React application on AWS Elastic Beanstalk. My main task was to create an automated system for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) of the React JS Application. We achieved this by using Amazon Elastic Beanstalk for deploying changes continuously, GitHub Action for automating the integration process, GitHub for managing the Source code, and Docker for creating a Dockerfile to package the application.

Work Culture

Abhyaz's virtual work culture showed how effective teamwork can be, even online. We had regular virtual meetings and used collaborative tools, making it feel like we were in a real office. The focus on open communication and supporting each other made the team feel united. Having mentors added a special touch to the work culture. They gave personalized support and insights that helped me grow professionally. The mentorship at Abhyaz made the virtual work experience not just efficient but also focused on learning and development.

Skills

During my internship, I faced real-world problems that needed creative solutions. Dealing with these challenges improved my problem-solving skills and turned obstacles into chances to learn. Handling different parts of the project also helped me get better at managing my time, and working with the team taught me how important it is to be a good team player.

Conclusion

As my internship at Abhyaz ends, I look back on three months filled with growth and learning. The hands-on experience in DevOps Engineering, along with the interesting project and collaborative work culture, has improved my problem-solving skills and time management abilities. I leave Abhyaz with a better set of skills, ready to use my new knowledge for future challenges in the always-changing field of DevOps Engineering.
