My Amazing Internship Journey as a Social Media Coordinator Intern at Abhyaz

Introduction

Internships are meant to be the stepping stone for an individual’s career and here at Abhyaz, my internship journey was no less than a remarkable, wonderful and enriching experience. I’m Saimoon Ansari. I’ve joined Abhyaz as a social media coordinator intern and worked under the marketing department. 

From getting hands-on learning experience on real world projects to collaborating with a diverse team in a 100% virtual environment, everything seems to be new and exciting. It helped me enhance my communication, management and leadership skills. It also boosted my confidence, increased my knowledge and understanding of real world tasks and people as well. Here are the key highlights of my insightful internship journey at Abhyaz:

Tools I learned and Projects I worked on:

I got remarkable experience working with professional tools such as Zoho Social, Zoho Campaign, LinkedIn, Canva, Zoho Writer and Zoho Show for various use cases such as:

1. Zoho Social: It’s the most useful tool for a social media marketer for seamless marketing operations. On Zoho social, I’ve done scheduling and posting of content for Abhyaz’s different social media channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. I also maintained the consistency by following the monthly calendars and engaging with our target audience, elevating our brand’s reach.

2. Zoho Campaigns: I also laid out the strategic plan for email marketing campaigns for Abhyaz Internships and Zoho CRM. I also created email campaigns both for general and A/B testing using Zoho campaigns.

3. Key Strategies/Insights: I’ve worked on different projects laying out the key strategies/suggestions and plans required for the overall growth of Abhyaz on its various social media platforms. I handled Abhyaz’s social media channels under the mentorship of Sarathi Ma’am.

4. Linkedin Content Admin: I also worked as a Content Admin for Abhyaz’s LinkedIn page to manage and engage with our audience by responding to them and helping them with their queries promptly.

5. Team Collaboration: I also worked on weekly internship vacancy announcements (done collaboratively as a team) for Abhyaz. I also co-ordinate with the HR department of Abhyaz regarding LinkedIn audience engagement.

6. Social Media Content: I reviewed the Canva designs, posters, videos and data shared by the marketing team and finalized them to be posted on social media platforms and sent out as email campaigns.

Acknowledgement

Overall it’s been an incredible 2-month internship journey filled with learning, skill-buildup, growth and development – both personal and professional. I’m really thankful to my mentor Sarathi ma’am for her valuable guidance, constant help, support and timely feedback given to my work through my entire journey. I’m grateful to join Abhyaz and work collaboratively and efficiently with such a wonderful team, sparking a teamwork spirit.
