Introduction

Internships are often the first step into the professional world, offering invaluable insights beyond classroom learning. My Four-month journey at Abhyaz was no different. From handling real-world tasks to collaborating with a diverse virtual team, this internship provided me with exposure to industry tools, enhanced my communication skills, and helped me build confidence in managing both tasks and people. Here's a look into my enriching experience and the key highlights that made it unforgettable.

CRM System Cleanup and Process Optimization

One of the major responsibilities I undertook during my internship was cleaning and structuring data in Zoho CRM. I was involved in updating modules, refining institutional records, and ensuring accurate tagging and segmentation of leads. This not only strengthened the system’s reliability but also helped streamline business processes. Through this, I learned how crucial data accuracy is for effective decision-making and client management.

Leading the Zoho Recruit Cleanup Drive

In the recruitment module, I led a team of interns for the Zoho Recruit Cleanup initiative. This involved coordinating tasks, tracking updates, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring quality control in candidate data. Managing a large team in a remote environment taught me essential skills in project coordination, leadership, and cross-functional communication. It was a true test of adaptability and people management in a fast-paced virtual workspace.

Other Notable Contributions

Alongside CRM and Recruit optimization, I contributed to several other impactful projects:

  • Contact Module Updates: Verified and updated contact information and opportunity records to maintain consistency across systems.
  • Data Deduplication: Identified and merged duplicate entries to improve CRM hygiene and performance.
  • Feedback Collection: Designed structured forms using Zoho Survey to collect testimonials and user experiences.
  • Intern Onboarding Support: Helped onboard new interns by walking them through tools, platforms, and expectations — ensuring a smooth start to their journey.

Gratitude & Acknowledgement

I’m deeply grateful to my mentor, Keerthy Thankan, and the entire Abhyaz team for their constant support, trust, and guidance. Their approachable leadership created an environment where I could learn, make mistakes, and grow — both personally and professionally.

Conclusion

My 4-month internship at Abhyaz was more than just a professional stint — it was a chapter of self-growth and skill-building. I walked in as a learner and walked out as a more confident, capable contributor. With hands-on experience in industry tools, leadership in live projects, and exposure to real-world challenges, I now feel better prepared to take on the next phase of my career. I look forward to applying these lessons and staying connected with the amazing community at Abhyaz.
