Introduction:

I am Vaidehi, and my journey as a software engineering intern at Abhyaz commenced on the 10th of July, 2023. As a fourth-year student, my eagerness to acquire practical knowledge and real-world experience led me to pursue this internship opportunity. My aim was to not only enhance my resume but also gain insights that would prove invaluable during future interviews. Abhyaz has not only immersed me in a dynamic work environment but has also provided me with exposure to compelling projects and exceptional mentors.

Experience:

One of the most gratifying aspects of my internship was the guidance and mentorship I received from the mentors. Their willingness to share their knowledge, insights, and experiences was helpful in shaping my understanding of the industry.

Project 1:

The first week was the introductory week to this industry and we were provided with a task to study VS Code and Jupyter and make an SOP on it.  I learnt the use cases, and various aspects of these tools thoroughly.

Project 2:

Odoo Website:

In this project, I have explained about how to create a website and accounting dashboard on odoo as well as its use cases. Odoo is a suite of web based open source business apps. The main Odoo Apps include an Open Source CRM, Website Builder, eCommerce, Warehouse Management, Project Management, Billing & Accounting, Point of Sale, Human Resources, Marketing, etc. This exercise enabled me to grasp the multifaceted applications and nuances of these tools, thus laying a strong foundation for the rest of my internship.

Project 3:

IOT Project

We were given IOT project wherein we had to explore various tools of IOT, know its use cases and develop a project on one of them. I listed different IOT tools such as Arduino, Nodered, Raspberry Pi. The project was making Twitter Bot using Raspberry Pi. For this, I first installed Virtual box and installed raspberry Pi os on it. Raspberry Pi provides sense hat emulator using which I updated the temperature of the emulator on Twitter. I used twitter’s api and created an account and generated keys for the code. After which, I wrote a python code with the keys and everytime the temperature changed, it was twitted on twitter.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, my internship experience at Abhyaz has been a transformative journey, enhancing my technical skills, exposing me to diverse projects, and allowing me to benefit from the wisdom of the mentors. The combination of these elements has undoubtedly fortified my skill set and positioned me for success as I progress in my software engineering career.
